You oughta change that... every Canadian needs an SKS... if for no other reason than we can get them here for $200 and Americans have to spend $500+ for one.

Some range do not allow Steel core anymore. Where do you shoot the sks?
For the price, I'll get one next year
If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing. -Malcolm X

I shoot on crown land that Fedon (Red_liner740) introduced me to.
I also used to shoot it at silverdale, and none of them ever checked my ammo so I have no idea if I was in the wrong there.

Rides: 2009 DRZ400S, 2013 Vstrom 650.

Firestart's range has that notice plastered all over the place, lol.
I'd probably do walk-ins at silverdale

I'm thinking of selling my Shadow and picking up a P226, dunno why the mood just struck me
Isn't the 226 top heavy? Harder to get followup shots?

Never sell anything, just get more.

The problem with introducing random people to decent crown land spots is all of a sudden it gets way too popular and attracts attention we don't want.
I gave my word to the person who showed me the spot that I would not show anyone else, so I have to stick to that.
I have cruised by other potential spots though... crown land that is not far from a road. I'll check my GPS tracks and the MNR land use atlas and see what I can figure out.

Only if you have no grip strength to be completely honest. I ran a P226 Enhanced Elite (I think..) and it was a great piece of kit. Not a $1300 piece of kit though.
The problem with buying new toys is that the girlfriend doesn't know how many I have, but she does know how many the safe will hold and it's presently full, lol I will reiterate though, the P226 is a man's gun and you need man hands and good grip strength to use it effectively. The 229 is better suited for glove-size challenged folks. Probably why the OPP uses it OH SNAP
