From what I can see, seems you guys are mixing 2 issues. Gun ownership and c+c. If all the examples given are fact: The Swiss have more guns but they are at home under lock and key. Their c+c+ is the same as ours, so their potential for crimes by handgun should be the same. What's the stats of shootings in homes?
Well these guys are claiming that c+c is a bad idea because more guns automatically means more crime. I posted stats that clearly indicate that's not the case, so now they're saying its because they're not allowed to take them out of the house and that's preventing people from committing crimes.
SO i guess we're at the conclusion that more guns doesn't equal more crime as long as you're not allowed to take them out of the house lol
Well lets see you guys argue with these stats below, in this chart the usa is actually on it you know where they allow concealed carry.

We already have a lower murder rate and incidence of gun death than the USA why would we want to increase that to match them?
Who said anything about wanting to increase our murder rate? Im for reducing it...
You guys are so convinced that merely giving a person a firearm will turn them into a criminal that you can't look at anything else, you know like statistics that show otherwise and common sense.

leave a loaded gun in the park.
lets see how many people would pick it up and run around stopping crime.
what do you think would happen ?
I'll tell you what will happen. its gonna get shot. doesnt matter at what, but someones gonna shoot it

I've been neutral about it, but realistically I'd have to agree. At some point you will have idiots carring. They won't become criminals, but shit will happen. Just like the WalMart woman. So more guns won't increase crime, but there is the high possibility of increased gun deaths/harm.

Yetti, I found some graphs for you that I found very interesting regarding concealed carry and open carry of hand guns.
As you may or may not know, concealed carry or open carry hasn't always been allowed in every American state, so for those that have adopted it, how has their murder rate been affected:
Florida:
Texas
As just two examples, I could go on.
From what I see the number of homicides and non-negligent manslaughters per 100k fell drastically once right to carry laws became effective.
Known aliases: Diesel, Motorcycle Mike, Chuck U. Farlie.
Rides: 2009 DRZ400S, 2013 Vstrom 650.
Stats really dont mean much, Yetti could Pop up a graph spinning that another direction with the same info.
Lets be honest, are they taking in to account Texan/mexican bloodbath killings in the early 80's and early 90 and maybe drug enforcement that went bigtime in the late 90's..
and so on... itys a simple thing dude, if there are more guns available, there will be more guns Shot at people.
Have a wedding party where most of the guests are packing heat. across the hall, have a wedding party with no guns.
whats the chances someones getting shot at each party.... one of them is pretty close to zero, and one drastically higher.
which party are you going to ?
which party are you taking your children to ?
which party would you take your grandchildren to ?
at the end of the day you cant dent that the unarmed party would be safer than the armed party. for a million differ reason that COULD happen. a quick argument, a drunk idiot, revenge, showing off...etc
