Return the vehicle to the customer, provide them with one litre of Genuine Honda bottled oil for emergency top up and advise them: To check the oil level at each fuel fill up, with vehicle parked on a level surface. To not add any oil. When the level has reached the correct lower mark, they must return to your dealership for oil level verification. In the event it is not possible for the customer to return to your dealership within 100 km of the oil level reaching the lower mark, they must add the litre of the Genuine Honda bottled oil they have been provided and note the odometer reading to provide to your dealership to note in the Oil Consumption Test Worksheet
My honda civic with 300k used to also lose oil, about a liter and a half for evey oil change and sometimes more ... that;s why I got a jeep, honda's are not reliable

I don't believe in these 0w20. My Elantra calls for it and the engine sounded like a diesel engine on a cold startup. Switched to 5w30 and the problem went away

My buddy picked up a new Elantra a few months ago.
He told me he has to bring it in every 6k for oil changes, like we used to do with our cars from the stone ages.
Hyundai doesn't have a "maintenance minder" where the car tells you it needs an oil change based on driving conditions and such??
We have one vehicle that gets its oil changed every 12-15k, and another one that just got its first oil change at 21k. Its quite clear, by todays standards, that changing your oil every 6k is much too soon.
