Once you're in, you're in. With that being said, this was too much of a witch hunt. While mistakes were made, they were understandable considering the situation they found themselves in. Bottom line: Start threatening to kill people while holding a weapon and you can expect for bad things to happen to you.

^^^ fully agree. Unfortunately that kid thought it was a good idea to get high and take public transport with a weapon and swipe at people. When at police officer says drop it and don't move, then do it. Somethin somethin knife gun fight never ends well.
He still has to live with the fact he killed someone. That will follow him forever.
sidenote: I hate this whole 'he was a good kid, had his whole life ahead of him' diatribe we hear again and again. This 'good kid' pulls out his dick, pulls out a knife, and then swipes both at a girl sitting down before she realizes what happens. I'm not defending the officer, he shouldn't have unloaded his clip into the streetcar, but describing the kid as an innocent bystander going about his day is erroneous.

What a strange verdict. Cop gets convicted meanwhile the douche bag that pulls a knife and threatens people, refuses to put the knife down when officers arrive and eventually gets shot is made out to be a saint. And now his mother wants a say in the training of police officers? Perhaps she should have put a little more effort into raising her "angel" and none of this would have happened.

Well I mean it can't be the kids fault. Just last week I was trippin out thinking I should hop on the ttc and start waving and knife at people. That's normal. Fuck da police yo!
More like fuck the bandwagon full of retards who think this kid is some innocent victim. Not saying the cop is an angel either but the kid put himself there and his "mother" failed and the raising a responsible human being.
