Many many years ago when i got a part time at a place selling suits i saw this exact practice take place.
Before the "sale" empty store and nothing happening. Then next day they put on "boxing day sale 50% off" tags meanwhile the price was still exactly the same. The store was packed and people were tripping over themselves to buy everything that they could get their hands on. Basically cleaned out the store in one day and still paid the regular price

After observing many videos, i noticed a couple common factors, lots of fatsos, plenty of greedy nutbars that will run over anything to get what they want, including children.

The best name for a store would be "Going Out Of Business! Everything must go!"

You'd make a killing.

Then when people caught on, you add a banner "New Ownership! Must sell"

and repeat.
