Had almost the exact same thing happen decades ago. 'cept I was looking straight ahead and preparing to stop at the intersection....was at about mid block. Guy pulls out to do a U right in front of me. Bike stopped, I step off and hop to the side. Fortunately a few witnesses were coming off the bus looking right at the incident. Can't remember if the guy got charged, probably, as there was an accident report with the said witnesses and my ins. covered everything as I was not at fault.
Why do you avoid Toronto? Stuff like this is why. Way too many morons on the road there.

Agreed but the minute I go anywhere south of king street and hurontario the chances get higher and higher the closer to the center of the toilet bowl errrr toronto I get
