I guess since no one here is "religious", non of you celebrate Christmas, or do you and why?

Too commercial. Buying crap for ppl that they don't need or want, but ya gotta buy it anyways. Better everyone buy their own crap...at least then it's something they want.

Let's have a little history lesson on the origins of Christmas shall we. Maybe this will help people understand how organized religion has been engineered to make us all hate each other and fight. You have to go back to 321AD, time of roman emperor constantine to understand how Christianity went astray/ got hijacked and started following Pagan rituals. Not by choice essentially but under the penalty of death, since that's how the public was controlled back then, same as today, by fear of violence. We just do it differently now, we follow the rulers rules because they threaten us with fines and or imprisonment.
So, why do most Christians think Jesus was born on dec 25 since the Bible doesn't support that, in fact it specifically tells you not to do as the heathens (pagans) do. Jeremiah Chapter 10 2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

Riceburner says it well, it's about consumerism, waste, greed. When you really sit down and think about it, what are you celebrating? The answer is : You don't know anything, humble yourself, be curious about everything, find the lies and deceptions so you can wake up. This is just one little subject, it's gets way worse for those that want to know the truths.

I have a new xmas tradition. Go away for it. I get some gifts for my nieces and nephew and other than that I go do something I want to do with my time off.
