Also if you do it yourself will your warranty be scrap?

Owners manual states oil change, filter, inspect engine idle speed, inspect clutch system, clutch and steering head bearing. Inspect nuts, bolts & fasteners.

Asking for a friend, i believe it wont void your warranty as long as you keep the receipts. He's worried it will...

I never purchased a new bike before but i doubt that i'd spend 300$+ on an oil change and a quick once over...

I'm sure it won't void warranty. I've done my own on my last two without issue. (not that I've needed warranty mind you)

It is basically a glorified oil change. Sometimes there are issues you can find that need attention.

I can help do the 1000km service, if there is something that needs warranty attention - you gotta take it into the dealership.

The new Ninja 300's have fork seal leaks at the 1000km mark, but that is a usual issue. Some Bikes will need a head bearing adjustment
