I can't justify 600$ for bed liner such as line-x only to have it destroyed, at the same time i need to paint the bed of my truck with something cause its starting to get scratched and soon rust will appear.
I guess it's better than nothing. Better than a tremclad spray bomb.
All my trucks had the liner from the factory so I can't really say.
They wanted 899+ tax for that plastic bedliner when i got it. Over a grand for a silly plastic cover seems ridiculous... At the same time i nearly killed myself the other day when there was a bit of snow on the bed and i went up there to grab something..
I tried a similar product on a trailer deck, only did two coats and gave up. Looked like shit and it wasn't any better than spray paint. Pay the $600 and have it sprayed. It's better than the plastic liner because it's not slippery when wet and it doesn't trap moisture so the bed won't rust. I've seen a few trucks with that Line-X stuff, looks pretty good.

I know that linex is the good stuff but 600 for bed spray? Seems a bit ridiculous, plus i know i'm gonna destroy it in the near future anyways. Atleast with that crap i posted you can do touchups yourself...just not sure if its gonna peel or not

I've used that Rustoleum truck bed liner, although not for a truck bed... I used it on the plastic panels of a KLX250.
The shit won't last at all. It scratches very easily. It might help with your grip issue, but it won't protect anything.
If it grips to steel, you'd be better off using that deck cover shit that Canadian Tire or Home Depot sell... it rolls on and is thicker and tougher than the spray on bed liner.

Once it's on, you'll never do a touch up. It'll be too much of a pain in the ass.
Pay now, or pay later. Don't half ass it. Like you said, you almost slipped. If you did and missed a couple days work, is that worth the bed liner?
