Yeah got a call back from Honda Canada yesterday and the douchebag representative told me that he spoke with the manager at the dealership where i go for my oil changes and he's aware of the situation. Told me that unfortunately everything will have to be paid for by me including the oil consumption test since i don't have warranty which is funny because i gave him my vin number the first time i spoke to him and he checked and told me that my car's warranty ran out at 100k.
I told him that in fact i do have warranty for another 7 months and up to 120k (thanks for discovering that for me jayv ), at which point he did not know what to say. He put me on hold for a while and came back saying that yes in fact i do have warranty but it's still not covered.
Anyways we go back and forth for a while about why it wouldn't be covered under warranty and he's talking so much shit my head starts to hurt...it's clear to me that this guy is dishonest as hell from the get go and i'm told to talk to the manager at the honda dealership and get the oil consumption test going...
I got a call back from the manager today and im going monday to start the oil consumption test...
I'll let you know how that goes...i know how much it burns but im not expecting them to be honest about it at this point. I asked them what the acceptable level of oil consumption was, and after dancing around it for 10 minutes he finally told me that its 1 liter for every 4,500km but that my car is under that. I guess to get one of these jobs all you need is a pulse because last time i checked at a rate of 1 liter per 1000 km that my car currently burns that equals to 4.5 liters per 4,500km.

don't you go using that fancy college talk with your mathematicals and such.
Let us know how it goes after the dealer does the tests. Sounds to me everyone knows what the elephant in the room is, now it's just pointing fingers until someone pays for it (which should be HQ from here).
"There's never enough time to do it right, but there's always enough time to do it twice."

Oh ya its deny deny deny from the get go on their end, meanwhile they have multiple service bulletins out on this exact issue and actually settled a lawsuit for 1,600,000 cars in the states for the exact problem.
The solution is new pistons and rings, only thing is who's paying for it, and with my recent discover that its still under warranty it sure as hell wont be me lol
