Re the pedals, I'm probably going to end up buying two sets. Cheap platforms and some decent clipless ones. I'd like to wear regular sneakers every once in a while.
Honestly once you go clips you'll never want to ride without them again. That said I'll show you a pic later of a set my friend has. Clipless pedals and he made a platform that locks onto them for commuting. Pretty slick set up
That's just it. I want to be able to commute to work every once in a while and clipless just doesn't make sense for that. That's why I wanted something that can serve both duties. I get that there will be compromises in dual purpose pedals and that's why Im thinking of just buying a cheap set of platform for commuting and clipless for the off roading runs.
