I'm for it for the average person.
The prisoner one part of me says no, but then part of me says yes. On one end i'd say make the prisoner serve out their sentence and pay for their crime, but on the other end if they wanna go and end their own life who am i to object. Plus its like 100K a year to keep a prisoner in jail, not to be a dick but i'd rather see that money go towards a good cause.
Also I don't think killing yourself is necessarily the easy way out...
This is a tricky one for me. I'm all about social liberty and your life is your life so assisted suicide is something I don't think the average joe can weigh in on.
In the case of terminal or chronic illness I'm completely for it. For the average person including the prisoner example I dunno.

Ditches don't just dig themselves. Never understood why they can't use that labour to do menial tasks.
"There's never enough time to do it right, but there's always enough time to do it twice."

If there's absolutely no way to treat and there's pain or suffering. Yes.
Prisoner...kinda divided too. If a serious violent one and no chance of parole or rehabilitation and no ability to contribute, then maybe it's good to save tax $.

I thought it was a nuisance charge or similar, but guess I'm behind the times...
"Suicide was decriminalized in Canada in 1972; someone who now attempts suicide is not liable to sanction under the Criminal Code. However, anyone found guilty of counselling another to take his or her own life or of aiding a suicide is liable to imprisonment of up to 14 years, whether or not the suicide attempt is successful. A peace officer or a physician may order involuntary detention of any person judged to be a danger to himself or herself."

That's just silly
