So i've had 3 of these cameras for a while now. 1 of them stopped recording, i sent it back and luckily they replaced it. The other two work 99% of the time. Once in a while they wont turn on, this happens when its ridiculously cold and the car sits over night.
If i had another chance to do this i probably wouldn't buy this camera, but i'll continue to use them until they die.
I've considered getting a better dash cam, but at some point you start worrying if someone is going to break into your car just to get the camera, and I don't want to have to take down the camera every night.
I think I will just stick with the cheap cameras that function 98% of the time and aren't much of a loss if they are stolen.
My camera, which I think is the same model as Paul's, sometimes won't shut off. I can reset it with a pin, or just let the battery run out and it starts again once it has power.

Update for those who care.
1 camera in my wifes suv is still working. One I had in my truck i put in my rig and after two trips to Texas the heat killed it. It stopped working completely...
I picked up a Dod ls360w and have been running it in my rig a couple months now. So far so good. Camera + mount seems a lot better quality than g1w and night footage is 10 times better.
G1w is now up to 120$, I picked up the dod ls360w for 160$ on amazon.
I bought a cheap Koss unit from Factory Direct last year for ~$30. Like previous posts have stated, sometimes freezes, sometimes doesn't stop. But quick reset and good to go. Night recording is terrible. Day recording is jumpy. But still works and nobody is gonna steal it. Who makes the g1w?
I need to get one too. Just to capture some crazies

I heard that the blackvue 650 / 750 are pretty good & the quality is awesome but they cost $500-$700
Why would you spend that kind of cash on a dash cam? And how long before some ding dong would smash your window to steal it
Well I think it's worth it, you get 2 cameras, video quality is excellent and it's pretty small so it's hidden pretty good, now if someone decides to break in the vehicle that's a chance that we all take weather you have anything of value in there or not.
