I've considered getting a better dash cam, but at some point you start worrying if someone is going to break into your car just to get the camera, and I don't want to have to take down the camera every night.

I think I will just stick with the cheap cameras that function 98% of the time and aren't much of a loss if they are stolen.

My camera, which I think is the same model as Paul's, sometimes won't shut off. I can reset it with a pin, or just let the battery run out and it starts again once it has power.

I bought a cheap Koss unit from Factory Direct last year for ~$30.
Like previous posts have stated, sometimes freezes, sometimes doesn't stop. But quick reset and good to go. Night recording is terrible. Day recording is jumpy. But still works and nobody is gonna steal it.
Who makes the g1w?

I need to get one too. Just to capture some crazies
