Having been to the bike show this weekend i overheard a few conversations and couldnt believe the crap i heard. Douche chills all the way and i know im not the only one. What is it about riders and trying to one up another?

My wife and I were just talking about that sort of thing last night. There are people who always have to be the hero of their stories; they're the ones who outran the police, told their boss to fuck off, beat the 6'6" MMA fighter in a bar fight, etc. I walk away from those folks at the first sign, which is usually that their favourite words are "I" and "me". My favourite people are the ones who tell stories where they don't come out looking so good but it's funny as hell. A little self-deprecating humour goes a long way.
Well then, you'd love the story where I wasn't the hero. Not me. After all, it's not like I came out looking good or anything. But I gotta tell ya, it was something, you should have seen me...

LOL, I've got a few of those too. My wife has asked me not to relate them to people we both know, in case they wonder WTF she's doing being married to such an idiot.

I did all those things... but better
On a serious note, the thing that grinds my gears is the amount of miss information regurgitated over and over again by riders that are trying to sound cool. L&L, KC, bike shows, staff at bike shops... they are everywhere.
