Had to try a poll out... was raised Catholic, parents are still very Catholic, but I haven't been to church in 20 years and don't plan on going back until I have to -- like a relative's funeral.
Now atheist.

I was never baptised or in any official religion but I went to Catholic school where they would read scriptures to us every morning

Catholic. When i was a kid and started to realize that none of the stuff made sense i felt guilty for even questioning it. Thankfully common sense prevailed and i managed to move away from it.
When i have conversations about religion with people who are very religious i often spot that same guilt in them. It's hard to question something that's been hammered into your head since you were an infant.
This guy sums it up quite well...

nothing wrong in believing in something, keeps some people sane
Problem is a lot of people take religion a little too seriously. Honor killings are a norm, not just in countries far away but it even happens in canada. Wars, executions and murder all in the name of an imaginary god.
I think Buddhists are generally peaceful in nature

Like I tell my kids...ppl will pick any reason to segregate. Religon, skin colour, accent, geographic origin, imaginary boundaries creating countries, hills and valleys. Humans need very little reason to fight.
