The vetting process will need to be stringent. This is a perfect opportunity for sleeper cells to sneak in, when everyone's guard is down. Look at the tensions in France and the UK because of their sudden immigrant populace, they're out breeding the locals.
I'm a personal believer that if a person is good, I don't give a flying fuck where they're from. They play by the rules, do their part, life is good. I am NOT ok with people coming to countries like Canada and then trying to bend and change the rules so it's 'more like back home'.
Also, if they're looking for better lives, and the EU is the end game, why not stay in Hungary? oh that's right, they have very stringent background checks. Germany is promising larger welfare sums, so everyone to Germany.
I don't fault the majority of the people escaping a shitty situation, but there comes a point where we have to be much more choosy who can come and who can stay.

So im watching tv the other night and i see some of these people arrive in toronto. First thrse mother fuckers are better dressed then most people who live here. Then i see some dude the next day interviewing about 5 of the refugees who are sitting courtside at a raptors game. Nice to see my tax dollars at work.
When my family came to the West, we had nothing. We were given shit to get in anywhere. My dad made it pretty good.

I'm all for helping people but this all smells like a popularity contest and photo opportunity for the politicians to me. We have plenty of people in need at home in Canada, yet the politicians don't care about any of it. Guess it wouldn't be world wide news if Trudeau handed out jackets to the homeless in Toronto, but a refugee and now you've got a story...

Amen brother. If my gf goes in Saudi Arabia or Jordan most likely they'll force her to wear long sleeve or hair covering. I sympathize with that. However, if they come here I sure as hell don't want them to change the laws to accommodate them or put another law into place. Laws of the land should apply to everyone regardless of beliefs. Because you believe in Santa Claus, doesn't give you special rights.
