I'm riding all winter as long as the roads have no snow or risk of ice. Last year didn't ride much so got to make up for it this year.
How the hell do you guys do it? I rode one time when it was around -5, and although i layered up like crazy i thought my balls were gonna freeze to the tank.
To top it off i couldn't even move my head or arms from all the clothing...

Use the right layering. I run a 1pc with a ski jacket. I'm good to about -10 or -15C as long as there's no snow/ice. Only my toes gets cold. But once the snow stays on my street, I'm locked in.

Exactly. I can only ride in the winter with heated gear. Did it for about 5 years without it and never again. I even use the heated gear right up til it's consistently 15deg out. During mid-winter it can keep my hands, toes and body warm right down to -20 no problem. But me as well... I live on a small court, so it doesn't get plowed properly - last winter it had ice or snow on it from December to March straight through.
Not sure what kind of bike you ride, but they do have tires that have an m+s rating (mud + snow) which will give some traction. I don't have those tires, so I just wait until the roads are clear again.

Yeah, I don't ride in slush or snow. If the roads are clear, then I consider it.
The cold doesn't seem to bother me much, but I am sure that having hand-guards and a large windshield helps with that a lot.
The only heated gear I have is Velocity battery powered gloves, and I have only bothered to turn them on once or twice and now can't remember where I put the damn charger.
