/\ what he said.
Had broken collarbone and torn rotator cuff, physio helped a lot and i was supposed to go for surgery but didn't end up going. Turns out its not all that successful...
Hurts to this day when i lift something really heavy or agitate it...
You do realize your asking yetti to exercise.... lol
will physio really help with an old injury ?
Im not a doctor (i know shocking) but it helped me. Went from so much pain that i couldn't even raise my hand up and couldn't even sleep at night to being almost pain free.
Long story short, I had to attend physio for a car accident a long time ago. To this day my back is screwed from it. I still feel the things you describe. If I don't get up in the morning and crack the hell out of my back I'm screwed by lunch. I'd leave physio feeling worse than I did going into it though. Find a good doctor who perhaps specializes in that area of the body or a sports related doctor and go from there. Sometimes physio helps and other times not.
My recommendation is to get a competent arm and shoulder specialist. When I busted my clavicle into 3 pieces, my first surgeon said to just wear a sling (fucking quack, afraid of touching the scalpel). Fortunately, the receptionist screwed up and booked me with Dr Elmaraghy at St Joseph's in Parkdale area (one of the best arm and shoulder guys in the country). If you can get him to check you out and do some digging, he'll be your best bet. He made the difference between 100% recovery and looking like this dude (and I'm not exaggerating by much):
Had I let nature take its course, I would have been left with a much shorter clavicle, lots of pain and a severely limited range of motion.

Since we are telling stories...
I did my undergrad degree up at Nipissing University in North Bay. If you've ever been to the campus, you'd know that the campus is up on an escarpment where the edge of the city is down at the base of the escarpment.
So... one night, me and a buddy left The Wall (campus bar) and thought it would be a good idea to steal a residence cart to ride down the escarpment to save us from walking. By cart, I mean something like this:
So, the road down this escarpment curves, and this cart doesn't steer.
Buddy, who was riding on the back, bailed early. I hung on. As I picked up speed and neared the first curve (with a 15' rocky ditch), I decided I too had better bail.
So I did. I ended up impacting my elbow so hard on my left arm, that two days later when I finally went to the hospital I discovered I cracked my shoulder up where the arm bone hangs below the shoulder bone.
A month later, when I could still not lift anything with that arm, I finally went back to the doctor and had to spend the next two or three months doing physio.
That was in 1998... 17 years later, and that arm still has pain when it rains, and it still cracks when I stretch it behind my head.

Is there anybody here who hasn't suffered a serious injury?
lets ask a better question....
is there anybody here thats Caused a serious injury ?
Yetti threw a guy over a balcony once. lol lucky for him it was 1st floor.
it was an apartment building right across from fairview mall on sheppard it wasnt totally on the ground, maybe a few feet up
the idiot deserved it. Yetti was picking up some stuff he left behind after a breakup.
while he was waiting, the new bf decides to start ripping on the vikings ( yetti was wearing a Culpepper jersey ) she warned him, but he kept on. so yetti atomic dropped him over the railing.
now that i think about it, I should have dropped an elbow on the fucker lol
I had some pussy wait for me outside a bar once for telling him to get away from a female friend of mine who was fully creeped out by his advances. He smashed me in the side of the head with a beer bottle. Still have the scar to this day (almost 20 years ago)
The cop outside watched me break his nose and 3 of my friends pulled me off him as I was just pummeling him in the face. Officer said on your way have a good night. friends told me later they hauled him off in an ambulance and the cop followed.
....was a girl. We were tossing a softball around in a triangle for a while. I caught pivoted and threw. When I released she turned away for some reason. I yelled and she turned into the ball.
2 years ago, Yetti wiped out and got a Grade 2 separated shoulder.
best option at the time was natural healing instead or surgery..
Sometimes it aches and it feels like cracking knuckles.. Yetti went to docs and they said not much
does anyone else have this ? what do yuo do ? do you take Pain meds for it ? exercise ?
Be a man and walk it off! lol
I've dislocated my shoulder several times and although it can be uncomfortable and painful when it first happens its not something that I think I would ever need surgery for. I know seperated and dislocated shoulders are different but you are never going to be 100% after surgery anyway so I dont see the point.
So I say, take some advil and move on.
My bf once pulled my arm and it popped outta the socket... it was pretty comical to see the colour drain from his face. Two advils and a quick rotation of the arm and I was back to normal.

It's happened a few times now... I know how to put it back myself and the muscles in my arm aren't as tight as they used to be so its not so bad. I've experienced things way more painful. lol
